The Summoning of the Dark One Part II

THE SUMMONING OF THE DARK ONE PART II She looked at her uncle's corpse, lying on the floor. She felt no remorse, only satisfaction. She had done what her master wanted, and she had enjoyed it. She picked up the knife, and wiped the blood off. She put it in her pocket, and walked out of the library. She had a new mission, and a new purpose. She had to find more victims, more sacrifices. She had to spread her master's influence, and his power. She had to prepare the world for his arrival She walked through the dark corridors, looking for a way out. She didn’t care about the house, or the books, or anything else. She only cared about her master, and his will. She felt his presence in her mind, guiding her, commanding her.  THE SUMMONING OF THE DARK ONE PART II

She looked at her uncle's corpse, lying on the floor. She felt his power in her veins, burning her, consuming her. She loved him, and she hated him. She was him, and he was her.

She reached the main door, and tried to open it. It was locked. She looked for a key, but there was none. She felt a surge of anger, and frustration. She kicked the door, and it splintered. She pushed it open, and stepped outside. She breathed the cold air, and felt a moment of relief. She looked at the sky, and saw the stars. She wondered if her master was among them, watching her, waiting for her.

She heard a car approaching, and hid behind a tree. She saw a police cruiser, with flashing lights and sirens. She recognized the driver as the sheriff, who had welcomed her to the town a few days ago. He had been friendly, and helpful. He had offered to help her with the boxes, and to show her around. He had smiled at her, and she had smiled back. She had liked him, and he had liked her.

She felt a pang of regret, and a flicker of doubt. She wondered if she had made a mistake, if she had chosen the wrong path. She wondered if she could go back, if she could undo what she had done. She wondered if she could still be Lisa, and not the vessel of the entity.

She shook her head, and dismissed the thoughts. She knew they were lies, and tricks. She knew they were not her own, but the remnants of her old self. She knew she had to get rid of them, and to embrace her new self. She knew she had to obey her master, and to please him. She knew she had to kill the sheriff, and anyone else who stood in her way.

She waited until the sheriff parked the car, and got out. She saw him walk towards the house, with a flashlight and a gun. She saw him look at the broken door, and frown. She saw him enter the house, and disappear from sight.

She ran towards the car, and opened the door. She got in, and started the engine. She drove away, leaving the house behind. She didn’t look back, and she didn’t care. She had a new destination, and a new goal. She had to find a city, and a crowd. She had to find more people, and more blood. She had to find more followers, and more servants. She had to find more power, and more glory. She had to find her master, and join him. She had to end the world, and start a new one. She had to be his queen, and he had to be her king. She had to be his, and he had to be hers. She had to be happy, and he had to be happy. She had to be. He had to be. They had to be.

She drove for hours, following the directions of her master. He told her where to go, and what to do. He told her to avoid the main roads, and to take the back roads. He told her to avoid the police, and to kill anyone who saw her. He told her to find a big city, and to look for a tall building. He told her to go to the top floor, and to wait for him there.

She did as he said, without question. She felt his voice in her head, and his power in her body. She felt his love, and his hate. She felt his joy, and his pain. She felt his madness, and his sanity. She felt him, and he felt her.

She reached the city, and found the building. She parked the car, and got out. She walked to the entrance, and saw a security guard. She smiled at him, and he smiled back. She stabbed him in the throat, and he fell to the ground. She took his keys, and his gun. She walked to the elevator, and pressed the button. She waited for the doors to open, and stepped inside. She pressed the button for the top floor, and waited for the elevator to move. She hummed a tune, and tapped her foot. She looked at herself in the mirror, and liked what she saw. She was beautiful, and powerful. She was his, and he was hers.

She reached the top floor, and walked out of the elevator. She saw a sign that said “Roof Access”. She followed the sign, and found a door. She opened the door, and walked out. She saw the sky, and the stars. She saw the city, and the lights. She saw the people, and the cars. She saw the world, and she hated it.

She walked to the edge of the roof, and looked down. She felt a breeze, and a chill. She felt a presence, and a thrill. She felt him, and he felt her.

She heard a voice, and she knew it was him. He said: You have done well, my child. You have served me faithfully, and obediently. You have pleased me greatly, and immensely. You have earned your reward, and your destiny. You have found me, and I have found you. You are ready, and I am ready. We are ready, and they are ready. Come, join me, and let us end this.

She saw a light, and she knew it was him. He was bright, and brilliant. He was beautiful, and terrible. He was glorious, and dreadful. He was everything, and nothing. He was him, and he was her.

She felt a pull, and she knew it was him. He pulled her towards him, and she pulled him towards her. He pulled her off the roof, and she pulled him off the sky. He pulled her into the air, and she pulled him into the earth. He pulled her into the fire, and she pulled him into the water. He pulled her into the darkness, and she pulled him into the light. He pulled her into him, and she pulled him into her.

They collided, and they exploded. They burned, and they froze. They shattered, and they fused and they died.

The End.
